My working life was as a florist having trained with Constance Spry in the mid fifties. Later I married Jim Spencer, we have three children. I started my second career etching, selling my work on a stall in Covent Garden, over the years building up a clientele from all parts of the world.

With my husband I opened a company selling prints and cards which was so successful it was a relief when we sold up and retired to a more relaxed life by the coast in East Sussex, Here we have a studio, large garden and sea views which gives both of us stimulous and inspiration for more art work.

All original work by Jim and Judy are sold with handcut mounts and backing boards.Mount colour "parchment" conservation grade 2,000 micron.

Born in central London in1928 as a teenager Jim attended The Prince of Wales Sea training school in Norfolk. After the war a period at St.Martin's School of Art set his career in motion.

Travelling, painting and eventually settling in Hampstead in the sixties. In the 70's his work was published by the then trendy Athena International, and could be seen adorning Institutions, Homes and Student bed-sits. Later he obtained commissions from Hotel Groups and retail chains such as John Lewis. In the 90's when with his wife Judy he published his work as greeting cards and found a whole new group of fans.

After so many years of painting and now in his eightieth year Jim has decided through this site to make available the original work used in his reproductions.
